Notice: Applying for Early Graduation in August 2012
 
Students who qualify for early graduation in August 2012 and wish to graduate early should read the following and apply accordingly.  
 
1. Who is eligible? : Those who satisfied all early graduation requirements stipulated in the university regulations 
 
2. Related Regulations: Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology Regulation Article 19
 
3. Early graduation requirements:
 
    - M.S. and Ph.D. students: Completed a minimum of 3 semesters   
    - have met all degree requirements earlier than usual by completing credits early, transferring credits between programs, having credits earned from other universities approved, and/or writing a prominent thesis
 
4. Applying Period: Fri. June 1, 2012 – Fri. June 15, 2012
 
5. How to apply
 
   A. Login to POVIS account => Academic Affairs => Status Change/Application => Early graduation 
           (POVIS Login => Academic Affairs => 학적변동/학사신청 => 조기졸업) 

   B. After applying online, visit your advisor and department head for in-person interview 

   C. More information: 
      - The progress and status of your application can be checked on POVIS, and the results (approved or rejected) will be delivered to you by e-mail. 
      - After applying online, visit your advisor and department head for in-person interview and constantly check the status of progress on POVIS.
      - The application will not be preceded and approved without an interview with your advisor/head professor. 
      - If rejection occurs during the progress, check for the [approval result], and reapply from the very beginning within the period. 
 
6. N. B.: Even if a student qualifies for early graduation, he or she will not be considered for early graduation unless he or she submits the early graduation application. If the student does not submit the application, he or she will be considered not wanting to graduate early and will be removed from the list of expected graduates.

 2012년 8월 졸업예정자 조기졸업 신청 안내
 
 2012년8월 졸업예정자로서 조기졸업을 희망하는 학생은 아래와 같이 신청하기 바랍니다.
 
1. 신청 대상 : 학칙에 준하여 조기졸업요건을 충족한 자
 
2. 관련 근거 : 철강대학원 학칙 제 19조
 
3. 조기졸업요건
 
   ▪ 석사과정과 박사과정 3학기 이상   
   ▪ 학점의 조기취득, 과정간의 학점 이월, 타 대학원의 취득 학점 인정, 학위논문의 탁월성이 인정되어 학위 수여 요건을 조기에 충족시킨 자 
 
4. 신청 기간 : 2012. 6. 1(금) ∼ 2012. 6. 15(금) 까지
 
5. 신청 방법
 
  가. POVIS Login => Academic Affairs => 학적변동/학사신청 에서 신청
  나. 온라인 신청후, 반드시 지도교수, 주임교수를 방문하여 면담 실시
  다. 기타
      ▪ POVIS에서 처리결과 및 결재 진행상태를 항상 확인 가능하며, 최종 승인 결과(승인 or 반려)를  E-Mail로 통보 받는다.
      ▪ 모든 온라인 신청 후, 반드시 지도교수, 주임교수를 방문하여 면담을 하고, 진행상태를  POVIS에서  계속 확인하여야 한다.
      ▪ 학생이 온라인으로 신청만 하고, 교수 면담을 진행하지 않으면, 온라인 결재가 진행되지 않으므로, 반드시 면담을 실시하여야 한다.
      ▪ 진행상태가 “반려” 되면, [승인처리결과]를 확인하고, 기간내에 처음부터 다시 신청해야 한다. 
 
6. 유의사항 : 조기졸업 요건을 갖추었다 하더라도 조기졸업신청을 하지 않은 경우에는 조기 졸업의 의사가 없는 것으로 간주하여 졸업대상자에서 제외함
