Tenured/Tenure-track Professor Position in the field of Surface Science and Engineering

The Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology has a tenured/tenure-track professorship position available for a person with an excellent record of research and education in the area of

surface science and engineering.

The professorship is associated with the position of the Surface Engineering Laboratory within the institute, which is actively engaged in surface, coatings and corrosion research.

The Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology seeks an exceptional and highly motivated individual ready to share its commitment to excellence in materials research and education,
and willing to be part of a vibrant English-language institute with a strong global leadership in the area of advanced steel products and processing.

The Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology (GIFT) is a unique academic initiative of the Pohang University of Science and Technology, a leading research university located in South Korea.
The Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology addresses the need of the global materials industry for outstanding professionals specialized in materials technologies.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree, preferably in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, applied physics, physics or chemistry, but suitable candidates holding an advanced degree in other, closely related, fields are encouraged to apply. The entry level position depends on the merits of the individual applicants. The position comes with a very attractive remuneration package and an excellent relocation and housing plan.
