About Lab.

Welcome to the Innovative Energy Materials Laboratory, where we are dedicated to developing cutting-edge material technologies for a more sustainable future through science. Our focus is on overcoming the performance limitations of lithium-ion batteries by decoding the mechanisms of energy storage reactions within the batteries. By combining traditional thermodynamic equilibrium analysis with an in-depth understanding of thermodynamic and kinetic changes in non-equilibrium reaction pathways, we design and implement high-performance energy storage materials and advanced rechargeable battery systems. Additionally, we aim to pioneer the development of next-generation electrode materials based on cost-effective metals like iron and manganese, as well as sodium-ion battery technologies, to contribute to the realization of an eco-friendly society.
