 Prof. Hyung-Seop Kim has recently been selected as a foreign fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE).

The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) established in 1987, is an exclusive autonomous “Peer Society” in the field of Engineering and Technology. The Academy covers all contemporary domains of engineering and allied sciences, and works toward the main objective of promoting excellence in engineering and technology and its application to address the major challenges of national and global importance. By virtue of being the sole National Academy in Engineering, INAE is a Member of the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS) representing India.

 The Academy confers Fellowship on Indian and Foreign nationals who have made outstanding contributions in selected areas of Engineering and Technology, have maintained consistent professional relationship with India, and have emerged as a global leader for their most distinguished accomplishments. The INAE, along with the Korean Academy of Engineering and the Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS), annually selects scholars who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the field of Indian engineering and have shown distinctive contributions to technological development. This year, a total of 53 individuals were selected, including five foreign fellows. Notably, this marks the first time since Dr. Jae-Chun Lee from the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources in 2012 that a Korean has been selected. Congratulations!
