Prof. Hyoung Seop Kim, JA professor of GIFT, was awarded THERMEC’ 2021 DISTINGUISHED AWARD at THERMEC’ 2021 Conference (2021. 6. 1-05) held online in Vienna, Austria on June 1, 2021. This award recognizes internationally recognized researchers for outstanding contributions in the science and technology of advanced materials processing and manufacturing.
The award has been established to recognize and honor researchers/scientists those who have made outstanding contributions in the field of advanced materials research over many years. THERMEC conference is being held every two or three years to promote academic/industrial advances in processing and manufacturing of advanced materials, attracting more than 1500 participants at each conference. Profs. Hae Geon Lee and Chong Soo Lee were the professors who received this award so far, followed by Prof. Hyoung Seop Kim this year.
THERMEC conference provides a forum that connects professionals (engineers, technologists, researchers) working in industry, academia and government research labs in various countries in Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, PR China, India, Brazil, Southeast Asia and Russia, and allows the participants to present their research findings in the overall field of science and technology of processing, fabrication and manufacturing of advanced materials.
