At the 2021 Fall Conference of the Korean Institute of Metals and Materials held at the Jeju International Convention Center from October 20 to 22, students from GIFT received the Excellence Award.

Won-bum Park( M.Sc. student ), who received the Excellence Award for Poster Presentation, said, “I would like to thank the officials of KIM+ for receiving the Excellence Award. I would also like to express my gratitude to Dr. Moo-Eop Choi and Leader Do-Hyung Kim, who helped with the research. I hope that this research can serve as a cornerstone for future challenges, and I will devote myself to further research. Lastly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Professor  Youn-Bae Kang for guiding the research.”

Seonguk Huh( Ph.D student ), who won the Student Oral Presentation Excellence Award, said, “I would like to thank the professors who filled my gaps in various ways and led me in the right direction.”

Ji Min Kim(Ph.D student), said, ‘First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to Profs Frederic Barlat  and Jin-Hwan Kim for their help in conducting the research. In the future, I know that the award was given with the intention of working harder, and I will do my best to research.”

Fazlollah Sadeghi Hosnijeh( Ph.D student ), said, ”This year's KIM conference was a new chance of participating offline in academic gatherings after a long period of the COVID-19 pandemic. So, I really enjoyed sharing my results and findings with other researchers. It gets even better to be able to receive a selected lecture award in the conference. It means that this presentation received positive attention from the listeners.”
