ASIA STEEL has been continued as the triennial international conference since 2000, jointly organized by the Korean Institute of Metals and Materials (KIM), Chinese Society of Metals (CSM), Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), and Iron and Steel Institute of Japan (ISIJ).
In particular, this conference was held jointly with Automotive Steel International Conference as the first hybrid conference. The committee has arranged a wealth of technical programs that feature a wide selection of experts in modern as well as traditional research and they have tried to make the virtual platform of ASIA STEEL 2021 as user-friendly as possible. In addition, through the Q&A time of oral presentation and the chat discussion function of poster presentation, it makes the possibility to communicate face-to-face with presenters and colleagues. At this conference, held from December 5th to 9th, Dong-Hyun Kim(CSL) and Dongwon Lee(ADL) were awarded the Young Steel Scientist Awardees.
