Baek-Hee Lee, head of POSCO Chemical's refractory division, was promoted to head of POSCO's Pohang Works in the regular executive reshuffle of POSCO Group on the 22nd. 

Baek-Hee Lee, the new head of Pohang Works, is an engineer in the traditional steelmaking sector at Pohang Works.

Director Lee graduated from Peniel High School, Department of Metallurgy, Pusan National University, and GIFT, POSTECH, and joined POSCO on December 5, 1988. After that, from November 2005 to July 2008, he served as the steelmaking department of the Pohang Works, and from May 2009 to August 2012, he served as the head of the 3rd steel mill of the steelmaking department. From 2013 to 2015, he served as the head of the steelmaking technology development team in the steelmaking department, Daewoo, and in January 2018, he served as the steelmaking manager. From 2018 to 2019, he served as the deputy director in charge of steelmaking at Gwangyang Works, and after serving as the head of the refractory division at POSCO Chemical in January last year, he was promoted to the 23rd head of the Pohang Works (vice president) in this personnel appointment. Official work will begin on January 3, next year.
