On August 26, Prof. B. S. Murty, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad), visited POSTECH GIFT.

During the visit, Prof. Murty toured the POSTECH campus and the Graduate Institute of Ferrous & Energy Materials Technology (GIFT), and discussed potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions.

In particular, the discussions covered a wide range of educational and research initiatives, including joint supervision programs, faculty and student exchange programs, joint workshops, the establishment of a joint research center, and joint degree programs.

The campus and GIFT tours also provided an opportunity to explore POSTECH GIFT’s educational and research environment and to discuss ways to further expand academic exchange and collaboration between the two institutions.

Located in Telangana, India, IIT Hyderabad is a research-oriented institute of technology established in 2008, offering a wide range of educational and research programs, particularly in engineering and science.

IIT Hyderabad is also known for its strong focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. It launched India’s first undergraduate program in Artificial Intelligence Engineering and currently has 323 startups, demonstrating its active engagement in both academic research and innovation.

We look forward to further expanding exchanges between POSTECH GIFT and IIT Hyderabad and continuing meaningful collaboration in education and research following this visit.
