Tenure-Track Faculty Positions at the Graduate Institute of Ferrous & Eco Materials Technology (GIFT), POSTECH (Metallic Materials and Processes)

The Graduate Institute of Ferrous & Eco Materials Technology (GIFT) at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. We are seeking outstanding individuals with exceptional capabilities in education and research who can contribute to our mission of achieving world-class excellence in the fields of Metallic Materials and Processes

○  Department & Vacancy

–      Metallic Materials and Processes (Physical Metallurgy): 1 Position
- Areas: All fields of physical metallurgy, including phase transformation, mechanical properties, microstructural characterization, surface engineering, novel alloy design, manufacturing processes, and materials for extreme environments, etc.

–      Metallic Materials and Processes (Chemical Metallurgy): 1 Position
- Areas: All fields of chemical metallurgy, including hydrogen-based steelmaking, eco-friendly metal manufacturing, refining and reaction engineering, and sustainable metallurgy, etc.

 

○  Desired Start Date

–      Second half of 2026 or March 1, 2027

 

○  Eligibility

–      Candidates must not have any grounds for disqualification for appointment as a faculty member at a private school in korea.

–      Must hold a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field or possess equivalent professional experience.

–      Must be capable of delivering lectures in English

○   Other Information

–      Candidates who pass the initial document screening will be individually notified regarding the second stage (interview/seminar).

–      Letters of recommendation from three or more referees will be requested only for those who pass the first stage of screening.

–      The search may be deferred if no suitable candidates are found.

–      Submitted documents will not be returned. If any information is found to be false, the appointment may be rescinded.

–      Original copies of various certificates and supporting documents must be submitted at a later stage upon request.
